Translation

Herbert Mayow Adams was Librarian for thirty-four years, and was made an Honorary Fellow in recognition of his services.  When he had completed the recataloguing of the College Library he searched out early printed books in all other Cambridge libraries and by means of full descriptions made them better known.  He was remarkable for his learning, application and modesty.  He died in 1985 at the age of ninety-one.
