Elzimar Smith

Died 1758.

Elzimar, sister of the Master, Robert Smith, who is buried by the altar. Her tombstone, on which her name is wrongly spelled, bears the arms of their cousin Roger Cotes. The only woman commemorated in the Chapel.

Translation

Here lies Elzimar Smith, the greatly mourned sister of Robert Smith, D.D, Master of the College. She died on 12th April 1758 at the age of seventy-four.
